We examine your ears first, and then explain the procedure of how we test your hearing ability. From there we will have you enter the sound booth and present pure tone and bone testing. This will give us a sense of how you hear and if hearing aids would be a solution for you.
Once your hearing aids arrive at the clinic, they are checked and we book an appointment for you. We go over your new hearing aids and verify your prescription in the hearing aids with how it sounds for you. This is done with state of the art equipment to ensure that your maximum personal amplification needs are being met.
Hearing Aid Cleaning
Sometimes the wax is too hard for you to remove it with your cleaning tools alone, so whether we sold your hearing aids to you or not, drop in and we will clean your aids, at no charge, with an ultra sonic cleaning tool and vacuum to ensure they are working at their maximum potential.
Follow Up Appointment
We are aware that when you first receive your new hearing aids there is quite a bit of information for you to remember. Do not worry, we will book you a second appointment about 2 weeks (or sooner if necessary) to review everything with you and answer any questions you may have. We are here for you, and we want you to be sure that you are comfortable with your new hearing aids.
Along with wearing hearing aids, there are little things you can do to improve your hearing ability. For example, being conscious of where you sit in a restaurant to maximize your ability to hear the people you are dining with. Or simply rearranging your family room furniture to make communication flow, we will give you any suggestions that we feel will help you in your different listening environments.
We will set up an appointment if you need any changes to your hearing aid programs. Once you wear your hearing aids for a while you may become aware of changes you may like us to make, we are here for you. If for some reason your hearing changes, we will retest your hearing and reprogram your hearing aids with the changes.
